Remote Assistance

Hamilton PC Care New Zealand offers online remote assistance via two remote desktop connection tools.
With remote assistance you can:

  1. Effect repairs

  2. Make changes

  3. Tune your machine

  4. Tutor/demonstrate a procedure etc so that you can learn how to do it for yourself

  5. and more.

  1. The first remote access tool we use is TeamViewer
To use this tool you must first download the client application from using this link: TeamViewerQS
Note: Remember, it's good computing practice to download and save the file to location on your hard disc where you can find it later.  Then, when it's downloaded, navigate to the file and scan it with your antivirus programme first.  If it has no issues (this file should be perfectly safe, but do it anyway to establish the practice of doing it all the time regardless of from whom or where you obtained the file) double click on it and follow the steps to install.
Once installed continue to follow the steps and phone me on 027 441 2623 or email for my landline and we'll complete the steps to establish a connection so that I can perform the necessary functions to get your machine running optimally for you.
  2. The second remote access tool that we use is: Crossloop
The reason we use both these tools is that we have found them to be both excellent and some clients have previous experience with Crossloop we offered this service prior to TeamViewer.
The same procedure applies with Crossloop, unless you already have it on your system.  In which case, simply phone us and we can proceed immediately.
More on Crossloop: Crossloop is a simple utility that can be downloaded here also and installed on your machine in a few seconds (via Broadband; a little longer on dialup) and allows you to invite Hamilton PC Care New Zealand to access your machine in real time from a remote location (without having to come to your home or office).
To download and install Crossloop click this link: Crossloop Setup
Download the useful PDF Help file for Crossloop Help
    Follow the other steps/advice above
    Once Crossloop is installed:
  1. Click on the Crossloop icon on your Desktop
  2. When it's running click the 'skip' button on the bottom right hand corner of the Crossloop window.
  3. Tell Hamilton PC Care the password Crossloop provides and follow the steps and/or instructions over the phone as Hamilton PC Care talks you through the simple process of connecting.

That's all there is too it.
