John has been a resident of the Waikato for many
years and had an interest in IT & PC technology for nearly 30
years. I describe myself as a bit of a 'techno nut' from
way back. Curiously, I have never enjoyed computer games
and gaming, but I do enjoy 'messing about with technology' in
general and computers in particular. (Rather like Ratty in
Kenneth Grahame's 1908 children's story, The Wind in the Willows
who just loved 'messing about in boats'! Which brings me
