The
Most Important Thing Cont'd(Pg

Step Five: Living With The Lord and Enjoying
Your New Relationship With Him.
This is just the beginning of a wonderful
new life. To deepen this relationship it is now
vital that you build the following five things into your
daily life. Just as a newborn baby must be cared for,
fed and nurtured, so the new life that has been formed within
you as a result of this experience needs similar care and
nurturing.
Read your Bible everyday to know Christ better. The
Word of God is like food that will strengthen and
feed the new life that has been born within you. After
reading through the various passages mentioned in this
article a good place to start is John's Gospel.
Talk to God in prayer every day.
Share all your concerns and the circumstances of
your life with him remembering to "make your requests known
with thanksgiving" (Philippians 4:6) so that you can enjoy living with him throughout
all your days. The Lord will become your closest and most
personal friend.
Tell others about Christ. Seek to
share this wonderful friendship with others so that they too may experience receiving the gift of eternal life.
Fellowship with other Christians when possible,
perhaps in a group or church where Christ is preached and the
Bible is revered as the Word of God. The Bible encourages us
not to "forsake assembling ourselves together" (Hebrews 10: 25) for
encouragement and to help us grow in faith.
As Christ's representative in a needy world, demonstrate your new life by your love and concern for others. Learn to
give and be generous with what you have so that you can be a
visual demonstration of God's love.
The verse below is one of the best-known passages in the Bible. I have already quoted it once, however, I urge you to
memorise it as it embraces all the important elements
of God's plan of salvation for each of us.
“For
God so loved the world (you and me) that he gave
his only begotten
son (Jesus Christ), that whosover (you or I) believeth
in him should not perish, (die without hope) but have everlasting
life. (eternal
life)”
John 3:

Contacting The Writer
I would love to hear from you. Please do not hesitate to contact me and tell me of your decision. I will pray with you and for you and do all I can to help you grow in your new relationship with the Lord Jesus. If I can answer any questions I will be glad to do so. I do not have all the answers, but I have been a follower of Jesus Christ for many years now, and along the way I have discovered that God is always faithful to his believing children. If you do not have a Bible of your own, it would give me great pleasure to provide you with one. My contact details are
below. Please email me as soon as possible.
Also available: The Jesus Movie from Luke's Gospel in The Contemporary English Version.
You can obtain copies of this from my "Helpful
Links" below. It is also possible to buy copies of the Bible on cassette tape or CD ROM so that you can listen to it while you drive or at other times. I personally enjoy doing this both in the car and when lying down. I have found that this allows me to saturate my heart and mind with the Word of God resulting in some great benefits to me spiritually. I commend this practice to you. Sites that provide recordings of the Bible are also available from my
"Helpful Links".
It is also possible to view John's Gospel in a dramatised visual format
on DVD and on YouTube from
Eternal Pictures.
